R. 'Brown Eyes'

Elepidote Rhododendron: 'Brown Eyes'

Flower pink with a golden-brown flare on upper lobes, openly funnel-shaped with wavy edges.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves elliptic to ovate, deep green.  Heat tolerant.  Upright, spreading plant habit.  Typical height: 6 ft. in 10 years.  Plant is hardy to -20F (-29C).  Hybridized by Dexter.

R. 'Bluenose'

Lepidote Rhododendron: 'Bluenose'

Flower light violet, fading to very pale purple, openly funnel-shaped, 2" across.  Held in lax trusses of 3-5 flowers.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves narrowly elliptic, convex, 2" long, olive green, retained 1 to 1 years.  Upright, open plant habit.  Typical height: 4 ft. in 10 years.  Plant is hardy to -15F (-26C).  Prefers some shade for best performance.  Hybridized by Brueckner.

R. 'Pale Lilac'

Evergreen Azalea: 'Pale Lilac'

Flower very light pink.  Grows to about 6 ft. in 10 years.  Upright, spreading plant habit.  Cold hardy to -25F (-32C).  Hybridizer is unknown.  Raised by Gable, named by O. Pride.

R. 'Klondyke'

Deciduous Azalea: 'Klondyke'

Flower strong yellow, suffused with reddish-orange, with an orange-yellow blotch, funnel-shaped, 2⅜" to 3⅛" across.  Ball-shaped truss holds 8-15 flowers.  Blooms early midseason to midseason.  Leaves deep brownish-red when new, deep bronze in autumn, mildew-resistant, deciduous.  Broad, upright, dense growth habit.  Height: 5 ft. in 10 years.  Cold hardy to -15F (-26C).  Raised and introduced by Edmund de Rothschild.  Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
