Elepidote Rhododendron: 'Scintillation' Flower strong purplish-pink shaded lighter towards center, flared greenish-yellow markings in throat, outside deep purplish-pink, openly funnel-shaped, wavy edges, 2½" across. Held in ball-shaped trusses of 11-15 flowers. Several forms exist of this hybrid. Blooms midseason. Leaves oblong, apiculate apex, rounded base, glossy, deep green, waxy texture. Broad habit. Grows to a typical height of 5 ft. in 10 yrs. Cold hardy to -15° F (-26° C). Hybridized by Dexter. |

Lepidote Rhododendron: 'Mary Fleming' Flower cream flushed strong to light purplish pink, darker blotch in throat, campanulate-shaped, wavy edged, about 1" across. Buds hold 2 or 3 flowers. Blooms early midseason. Leaves approximately 2" long, dull, dark green. Leaves are bronze when new and in the winter. Plant is sun and heat tolerant. Typical height: 2 ft. in 10 yrs. Plant is hardy to -15°F (-26°C). Prefers some shade for best performance. Hybridized by Nearing. |

Evergreen Azalea: 'Carrie Amanda' Flower strong purplish-pink edges with white throat and dark rose spotting on dorsal lobe, openly funnel-shaped, wavy edges, 2½" across. Blooms early midseason. Leaves broadly elliptic to narrowly obovate, mucronate apex, cuneate base, 1¾" long, dull, dark green, upper and lower surfaces hairy, retained 2 years. Broad, rounded, well-branched habit. Grows to a height of 2 ft. in 10 years. Cold hardy to -15° F (-26° C). Hybridized by Schroeder.

Deciduous Azalea: 'Klondyke' Flower strong yellow, suffused with reddish-orange, with an orange-yellow blotch, funnel-shaped, 2⅜" to 3⅛"across. Ball-shaped truss holds 8-15 flowers. Blooms early midseason to midseason. Deciduous. Leaves deep brownish-red when new, deep bronze in autumn, mildew-resistant. Broad, upright, dense growth habit. Height: 5 ft. in 10 yrs. Cold hardy to -15° F (-26° C). Raised and introduced by Edmund de Rothschild. Winner of the English Award of Garden Merit. |
