Elepidote Rhododendron: 'Percy Wiseman'
(R. degronianum ssp. yakushimanum x R. 'Fabia Tangarine') selfed

Flower cream, growing darker towards base, very lightly flushed pale purplish-pink, and spotted moderate orange on the dorsal lobe.  Ages to creamy white with yellow throat.  Ball-shaped truss of about 14 flowers.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves elliptic, acute at apex, cuneate at base, 3" long, glossy, medium green.  Compact, well branched plant with dark green foliage.  Height: 3 ft. in 10 yrs.  Flower bud hardy to -5°F (-21°C).  Hybridized by A. Waterer.

R. 'Dora Amateis'

Lepidote Rhododendron: 'Dora Amateis'
R. minus var. minus 'Carolinianum' x R. ciliatum

Flower white with faint green spotting, openly funnel-shaped, 2" across.  Held in lax truss of 6-8 flowers.  Very floriferous plant.  Blooms early midseason.  Leaves elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, recurved, 2" long, light green with bronze highlights, if grown in full sun.  Compact habit.  Height: 3 ft. in 10 yrs.   Grows twice as wide as high.   Plant is hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Prefers some shade for best performance.  Hybridized by Amateis.

Evergreen Azalea: 'Fascination'
R. 'Grace Freeman' x R. 'Amagasa'

Flower has creamy pink center with bright red edges, widely funnel-shaped, 4-1/2" across.  Very striking and attractive.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, deep green.  Rounded plant habit.  Grows to 3-4 ft. in 10 yrs.  Hardy to -5°F (-21°C).  Name is not registered.  Hybridized by Harris.

R. 'Arneson Gem'

Deciduous Azalea: 'Arneson Gem'
(R. 'C. B. Van Nes' x R. 'Koster's Brilliant Red') x unknown

Flower vivid yellow in throat, shading to reddish-orange at margins, outside red, widely funnel-shaped, 3-3/4" across.  Held in ball-shaped trusses with 10 to 15 flowers.  Blooms early midseason to midseason.  Leaves elliptic, apiculate apex, cuneate base, 2-1/2" to 3-1/2" long, slightly wrinkled above, slightly hairy below.  Upright, spreading habit.  Grows approximately 3 ft. tall in 10 yrs.  Cold hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Hybridized by Arneson.
